Alpa Prisma Reflex with Schneider Xenon 1.9/50
lens
Produced from 1949
With the ALPA Prisma Reflex appeared one of the very first single
lens reflex cameras with a pentaprism, a little time after the Contax
S and Rectaflex.
This roof prism device, by virtue of the cross-over of internally
reflected rays, gives an erect, laterally correct image. The viewing
eyepiece has a view-angle of 45º - a typical ALPA feature up to the
model 6c of 1960.
